Into Your Gaze

Into Your Gaze

I see the bottom when I'm close to shore.
The shallows quickly fall into the depths.
Such mystery, I could not ask for more.
I think to dive beneath with just my breath.

The color of the water: greenish-gray
but absolutely clear since I can see
the bottom when not far, from shore, away,
but it's not visible now in the deep.

Just like your eyes, there, where I lose myself.
It's like I never need to breathe again,
and, with that color, I, my lungs, will fill.
Into your gaze is where I must ascend.
